Overview

Prestige Accounting & Consulting is looking for a highly skilled Law Firm Accountant to join their team in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on supporting law firm clients with their bookkeeping processes, ensuring compliance with trust accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage client trust accounts (IOLTA) for multiple law firm clients
  • Record and reconcile all IOLTA transactions
  • Perform monthly three-way reconciliations and prepare documentation for audits
  • Handle all aspects of law firm bookkeeping including client billing and payroll
  • Review client billing functions using software like CosmoLex and TimeSlips
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and custom reports
  • Coordinate with external CPAs during month-end and year-end closes
  • Manage and update accounting and billing systems including QuickBooks Online
