Overview

Aerodyne Industries is seeking a Launch System Software Engineer Entry to join their dynamic team, working on critical projects for NASA and the Department of Defense at the Kennedy Space Center. This role involves the development, integration, and technical support of software products related to ground systems and launch operations for various space missions.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform technical development of software products including requirements, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Provide technical support for COMET Ground Support Equipment sub-systems development.
  • Ensure integration across COMET GSE sub-system teams.
  • Assist in the technical integration between GSE Subsystems and NASA customers.
  • Develop and evaluate work instruction packages and support project deliverables.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Linux or Unix, C, C++, JAVA, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Agile or similar software methodologies.
  • Experience with full life cycle of software processes for safety critical software.
  • Knowledge of software testing and analysis processes.
  • Self-motivated team player comfortable in a dynamic environment.
