Job Description

Overview

Coeur Mining is seeking an experienced Land Manager to oversee land ownership, rights, and claim tenure for their operations and projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal obligations and maintaining clear communication with regulatory authorities while being based in either Chicago or Toronto.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage land management processes and procedures for all Coeur properties worldwide
  • Coordinate land-driven processes and projects with various departments
  • Perform due diligence related to land acquisition and management
  • Develop and implement land management process improvements
  • Lead negotiations for purchasing or leasing property and claims
  • Administer the Landfolio database and work with the GIS sub-department
  • Maintain physical and digital property records
  • Devise strategies to avoid and mitigate risks
  • Represent the Land Department professionally

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Business, Law or equivalent experience
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Landman, preferably in mining/oil and gas
  • Certified Professional Landman (CPL) or Registered Professional Landman (RPL) designations preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and process improvement knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50%)
