Overview

Join Amrize as a Land Manager and manage a portfolio of land and mining assets in the Greater Montreal market. This role involves overseeing permits, leases, and stakeholder relations to maximize mining reserves and strategic growth opportunities for the regional aggregates and construction materials business.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee land management activities including acquisitions, divestments, and lease agreements
  • Represent the company at land use hearings to secure necessary permits
  • Manage preparation and compliance of mining and reclamation permits
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements and mining leases
  • Develop and manage budgets and timelines for land acquisition and permitting projects
  • Lead community relations efforts with internal staff and key stakeholders
  • Provide strategic land-related advice to management
  • Utilize GIS systems for documenting land boundaries and permits
  • Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
  • 5 years experience in real estate, land, and mining preferred
  • Professional Engineer License is a plus
  • Proficiency in Land Information Systems, GIS, and Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams
  • Willingness to travel 10% and attend public meetings
