Overview

Amrize is seeking a Land Manager to oversee a portfolio of land and mining assets in the Greater Montreal area. This role focuses on managing permits, entitlements, and relationships to maximize mining reserves, and includes strategic growth initiatives through acquisition and permitting of new mineral reserves.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee land management activities, including acquisitions, divestments, and lease agreements.
  • Represent the company at land use hearings to secure necessary permits.
  • Manage compliance of mining and reclamation permits.
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements and mining leases.
  • Develop and manage budgets and timelines for capital projects.
  • Lead community relations efforts with stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic land-related advice to management.
  • Utilize GIS systems for documenting land boundaries and permits.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in real estate, land, and mining.
  • Proficiency in Land Information Systems, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpretation of regulations.
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Travel availability of 10% for public meetings.
