Overview

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Lactation Consultant RN to provide quality patient care for postpartum mother/baby pairs. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care while ensuring compliance with clinical practices and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver quality patient care through nursing assessments, planning, and implementation
  • Direct nursing care based on established clinical practices and regulations
  • Incorporate age-specific development and cultural values into care plans
  • Contribute to quality nursing care through process improvement and collaboration
  • Supervise students as directed by the area supervisor

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification within 1 year
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days
  • Experience in postpartum and lactation care
