Description: About the Role The Lab/Quality Technician will be responsible for incoming quality testing of current line items, maintaining product standards, handling of basic chemicals, ordering and storage, and maintaining warehouse storage for the Quality Team. In addition, the Lab/Quality Technician will manage the outreach to raw material suppliers for back-up documentation as well as assist in the day-to-day product inspection and quality department needs.This role works fully onsite at our Wilmer TX location. What You will Do:Perform lab work and assist in the testing of samples as assigned by QualityPromotes a safe working environment and complies with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures and JPMS safety rules, and applicable operational procedures and policiesEvaluate incoming production and pilot samplesFilling, labeling, and preparing samples for shipmentReporting OOS and testing results to the Quality teamRecord and communicate any observations clearlyWork with the Quality Team on product inspections and investigative projectsReview and scan in supporting documents to our document control system for products and chemicals receivedProvide routine technical support for day-to-day laboratory operationsAssemble, configure, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments for use in tests and experimentsClean, disinfect, and maintain laboratory work areas, cleanrooms, and equipment in accordance with established proceduresOperate laboratory equipment, prepare chemical solutions, and perform analytical tests as assignedRecord test results and maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation as instructedOther duties may be assigned by Quality, within scope of roleRequired Qualifications:Skills: Basic PC knowledgeBasic experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Good time management skills & ability to follow through on assignmentsStrong organizational skillsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsEducation: High school diploma or GED requiredExperience: 1+ year prior experience in a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing environment preferred Requirements: Preferred Qualifications:Education: Associate degree or college-level coursework in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science a plusRelevant military, vocational, or trade training in a laboratory, chemical, or scientific field will be considered in lieu of formal educationExperience: 1+ year prior experience in a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing environment preferred We are eager to meet people who believe in our mission and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways - not just candidates who check all the boxes.
