Overview

The H&K Group is seeking experienced and motivated Laborers to support the I81 Project in Hallstead, PA. This role involves working on various construction tasks in a utility capacity, adapting to different activities as needed, while adhering to safety policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Acquire tools needed for daily operations
  • Measure distances, drive stakes, and stretch tight line
  • Signal construction equipment operators for alignment and adjustments
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Mix and finish concrete
  • Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections
  • Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces
  • Assist with pre-run markings and fine grading during paving
  • Direct traffic around work areas
  • Perform daily functions for pipe set up and connection

Required skills

  • One month of related experience and/or training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills for computations and graph interpretation
  • Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and movement
