Job Description

Overview

The Laboratory Technician I at Agropur is responsible for supporting production by analyzing various samples through different testing methods, including microbiological and physical tests on materials throughout the production process. This role involves sample receipt, testing, result documentation, and equipment maintenance, all while adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and test samples using established procedures
  • Document and report test results to laboratory leadership
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Perform routine quality control checks
  • Keep the laboratory organized and clean
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience or coursework in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in a laboratory setting
