Overview

The Labor Relations Coordinator at Sears Seating plays a vital role in managing labor relations within a unionized manufacturing environment. This position collaborates with Human Resources, operations leadership, and UAW representatives to ensure adherence to the collective bargaining agreement and relevant labor laws, while fostering positive relationships between labor and management.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in interpreting and applying the UAW collective bargaining agreement.
  • Support supervisors and managers in understanding contract provisions.
  • Coordinate and track grievance activity, including documentation and responses.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations related to attendance and conduct.
  • Build relationships with UAW stewards and facilitate communication with union representatives.
  • Maintain accurate records related to grievances and compliance with labor laws.
  • Support training efforts for supervisors on contract interpretation and employee relations.
  • Prepare labor relations reports to identify trends and assist in decision-making.
