The Lab Support Technician (LST I) at Mercy Jefferson plays a vital role in supporting the laboratory's operations, focusing on data, scheduling, and specimen management. This part-time position emphasizes excellent customer service while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality and laboratory policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely laboratory support
  • Assist in data management and scheduling functions
  • Acquire laboratory specimens using safe and professional methodologies
  • Process, transport, and refer laboratory specimens as required
  • Complete all required departmental checklists and competencies under laboratory management supervision
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service in all interactions

Required skills
