Overview

The Lab Supervisor at OhioHealth is responsible for overseeing technical operations and staff within a clinical laboratory. This role emphasizes promoting a customer service-oriented approach while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering employee development.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervises departmental technical operations and human resources
  • Promotes strong customer service orientation
  • Acts as liaison resolving operational and technical problems
  • Investigates specimen issues, service complaints, and delays
  • Consults with physicians and other hospital departments
  • Develops and implements new procedures to improve productivity and service
