Overview

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking an experienced LAB Director for their Commercial Labs Anatomic Pathology in Phoenix, Arizona. This leadership role involves overseeing operations across multiple facilities, managing a diverse team, and ensuring excellence in diagnostic services within one of the largest lab systems in the nation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multi-facility functions to drive operational and financial success.
  • Serve as a liaison between system directors, managers, technical specialists, pathologists, and other management personnel.
  • Oversee technical and administrative managers as well as non-exempt technical employees.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in mid-level management or supervision
  • Knowledge of CLIA '88 supervisory requirements
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent employee relations and communication skills
  • Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation requirements
