Overview

The Kitchen Supervisor at Nemacolin is responsible for overseeing culinary operations in a luxury resort environment. This role emphasizes maintaining high food standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing kitchen expenses while leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by meeting food standards and addressing concerns promptly
  • Assist in managing kitchen expenses to maximize profitability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
  • Report equipment problems and safety concerns to supervisors
  • Participate in employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement
  • Execute duties delegated by leadership and adapt to changes in the work environment

Required skills

  • Culinary qualifications and experience in a hotel, resort, or quality restaurant
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Servsafe Certification preferred
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs
