Overview

Quaker Steak & Lube is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Kitchen Manager to oversee all back-of-house operations at their Cincinnati location. This fast-paced role involves managing food preparation, inventory, and staff training, while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee food preparation and production
  • Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of back-of-house items
  • Manage inventory and food costs, tracking waste and controlling labor costs
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of back-of-house staff
  • Practice safe food-handling procedures

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior management experience in family or casual dining
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods
