Overview

Quaker Steak & Lube, operated by JDK Management Company, seeks a dedicated Kitchen Manager in Canton, Ohio. This role involves overseeing all back-of-house operations, ensuring quality food preparation, and managing inventory and staff training to maintain high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee food preparation and production
  • Manage proper handling, maintenance, and storage of back-of-house items
  • Implement safe food-handling procedures
  • Track inventory and food costs, minimize waste, and control labor costs
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training back-of-house staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior management experience in family or casual dining
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
