Overview

The Kitchen Aide at Element Care is responsible for managing all aspects of food service operations at a designated site in Brighton, Massachusetts. This part-time position offers a great work-life balance with no required nights, weekends, or holidays, and emphasizes food safety and sanitation.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage food service operations and ensure compliance with food safety policies
  • Order, rotate, and receive meals and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain an orderly stock of kitchen supplies
  • Check and record temperatures of prepared foods and take necessary actions if they do not conform to standards
  • Calibrate kitchen thermometers routinely
  • Prepare light breakfasts and coordinate the serving of lunch meals
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, equipment, and utensils after meal service
  • Perform other related duties as required

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Current CPR Certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food service industry
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
