Overview

As the Kindergarten Before and After School Coordinator at Memorial Early Childhood Center, you will play a pivotal role in supporting elementary-aged children during out-of-school hours. This position involves leading a team of educators to create engaging learning experiences, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and school officials, and ensuring the successful operation of educational programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a group of teachers to create unique and engaging classroom experiences
  • Ensure site is operating effectively; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school leaders, and community contacts
  • Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for new families and children

Required skills

  • At least one year of teaching experience
  • Ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team
  • Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships with families and staff
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and engage in physical activity
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
