Overview

The Kennel Attendant at the City of North Kansas City is responsible for providing care to animals at the animal shelter, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment. This part-time role includes tasks such as feeding animals, coordinating adoptions, and assisting with health assessments alongside veterinarians.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls regarding animals that are vicious, diseased, or stray
  • Feed animals in the shelter
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the animal shelter
  • Coordinate the adoption of unclaimed animals
  • Socialize and exercise animals as time permits
  • Perform other duties required for the successful operation of the animal shelter
