Overview

The K-5th Substitute Part Time Math Tutor position in Los Angeles, CA, involves providing tutoring support in science, technology, and mathematics to students in grades K-8. Study Smart Tutors is dedicated to promoting educational equity and success through high-quality academic support and partnerships with schools and community organizations.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach subjects including Science, Technology, and Mathematics to K-8 students
  • Provide tutoring support to both small and large groups of students
  • Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
  • Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
  • Partner with the Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies

Required skills

  • Completed 4-year degree
  • Teaching or tutoring experience
  • Preferred experience in robotics
  • In-person availability required
  • Ability to pass a background check
