Overview

The Justice for Families Visit Supervisor at YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley is responsible for overseeing supervised visitation and safe exchange for families with a history of domestic violence. This part-time role, requiring evening and weekend hours, emphasizes creating a safe environment for families and supporting their needs while promoting the organization's mission to empower women and eliminate racism.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight for families in the Justice for Families supervised visitation program
  • Promote YWCA's mission in the community and engage with partners and staff
  • Ensure safety during visits and exchanges, intervening as necessary
  • Document observations and report any incidents of suspected child abuse
  • Maintain a clean visitation center and prepare for family visits
  • Assist with scheduling and conducting intake interviews for new clients
  • Provide feedback to families regarding their conduct and progress
  • Track statistical data and maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Collaborate with YWCA Victim Services team and attend meetings
