Job Description

Overview

The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Marketing & Communications team at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia by creating compelling visual content for various platforms, including digital, print, and social media. This role requires a detail-oriented designer who is passionate about storytelling through design and eager to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and produce visual assets for social media, email marketing, digital advertising, print collateral, and event materials
  • Ensure all work aligns with organizational brand standards and tone of voice
  • Assist with photo selection, retouching, and basic video/motion graphic support
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support integrated marketing campaigns
  • Help maintain and evolve brand systems, templates, and asset libraries
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and campaign concept development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of graphic design experience, including internships or freelance work
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital and print design capabilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with Canva and basic motion graphics/video editing
  • Understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for mission-driven work and community impact
