Overview

Silver Maple Construction is seeking Master and Journeyman Plumbers to support their expanding Mechanical Division in New Haven, Vermont. These full-time roles require expertise in residential plumbing and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team focused on quality craftsmanship and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for residential builds and renovations
  • Perform new installations, replacements, and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures, valves, and mechanical components
  • Adhere to all plumbing codes and workplace safety standards
  • Travel to job sites within a 1-2 hour radius, with mileage reimbursement provided
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent service needs
  • Troubleshoot systems and implement efficient, long-term plumbing solutions
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless execution
  • Mentor junior team members as appropriate

Required skills

  • Master or Journeyman Plumbing License
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in residential plumbing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Natural gas, propane, and refrigerant certifications (preferred)
  • High proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding mechanical layouts
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to safely work in physically demanding environments
