Overview

PacifiCorp is seeking a Journeyman Plant Electrician to work in Huntington, Utah. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant electrical generating systems and support equipment to ensure efficient and safe electric generation. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, environmental sustainability, and diverse company culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair plant electrical generating systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and computer equipment.
  • Calibrate high voltage switchgear and equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment like forklifts and cranes for electrical installations.
  • Train and supervise apprentices and helpers.
  • Inspect and perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Prepare maintenance and safety inspection reports.

Required skills

  • 3 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Power plant experience or completion of Power Plant Fundamentals
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and industrial maintenance
  • Experience with digital and analog control systems
  • Ability to operate heavy mobile equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems
