Overview

Rentco Equipment Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Outdoor Power Equipment Technician or Motorcycle Mechanic for their Grande Prairie Head Office shop. The role involves providing exceptional service through equipment repair and maintenance for various clients in the Peace Country, leveraging over 60 years of company experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete small engine work orders accurately and timely
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
  • Conduct service work such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Monitor parts usage and report material issues
  • Assist with ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Document work performed in a detailed manner per Rentco procedures

Required skills

  • Journeyman Outdoor Power Equipment Technician or Motorcycle Mechanic certification or equivalent experience
  • Class 5 drivers' license with a clean abstract
  • Experience working on small tampers, generators, and water pumps
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
  • Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
