Overview

Amrize is seeking a Journeyman Millwright for a maternity leave contract at their Exshaw AB Cement Plant. This role involves ensuring efficient and safe maintenance of various industrial equipment. The position may extend beyond the initial contract period, offering a chance to contribute to impactful projects in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Operate light mobile equipment, motorized manlifts, and overhead cranes
  • Communicate and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Document work progress and issues using PPW
  • Work both independently and as part of a team in various environments

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Millwright Journeyman Red Seal ticket
  • Experience with large industrial equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Capacity to work in diverse conditions (confined spaces, heights, extreme temperatures)
  • Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
