Overview

Marroquin Industries Corp is seeking a Journeyman Machinist to join their clean and friendly machine shop in Hawthorne, California. This full-time position focuses on the fabrication of aerospace fasteners and requires a motivated candidate with experience in conventional machining practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Use conventional mill and engine lathe for tooling and component fabrication
  • Review blueprints and drawings to determine set-up procedures and machining sequences
  • Select fixtures, part holders, and tooling for machining parts to specifications
  • Set up and operate various conventional machines such as vertical mills and surface grinders
  • Machining tool steels and aluminum parts while maintaining tight tolerances
  • Perform inspections of finished parts
  • Clean and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment
