Job Title: Jockey DriverThe Jockey Driver will operate both gasoline and diesel-powered Jockey/Stake body trucks to make material movements.Essential Functions:Receive instructions from supervisorPerform Drivers Daily Checklist on trucks usedCheck Fuel, oil, water, etc. Test steering, motor, brakes etc. for proper operation. Notify supervisor if repairs are neededMove trailers for all plants on the Reading facilityDeliver trailers and facilitates weighing and logging movesPerform duties of the metal handler classification as requiredStrap down and secure loads at RDCMake local deliveries and moves as neededOperate lift truck, wheeled loader, and bobcatKeep tools clean and equipment clean, properly stored and in good working orderMaintain good housekeeping in work areaPhysical Requirements:Walking or standing 80% of the shiftWalking, bending, climbing, lifting, pulling, and pushing requiredLifting up to 55 poundsQualifications:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma preferred but not requiredMust be able to operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts and cranesAbility to organize material on machines as scheduledMust be able to work mandatory overtime as neededMust be able to work multiple shifts as neededRead micrometers, calipers and other measurement devicesAbility to work in a team environmentBasic computer skillsManufacturing experience preferred
