Job Description

Overview

The Job Coach at Home of Hope is responsible for developing business relationships to create employment opportunities for clients. This role involves facilitating client placements, counseling on social services, and advocating for client needs to ensure successful vocational integration.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate services for clients to support social and vocational integration.
  • Develop job opportunities by matching client skills with employers.
  • Assist employers with training issues to ensure clients receive appropriate job training.
  • Utilize natural supports and develop transportation systems for client success.
  • Complete documentation necessary for billing services and compliance.
  • Interpret and implement DRS and HOH contracts and performance requirements.
  • Assist clients in achieving maximum potential and self-determination.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Above-average interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Proficiency in using office equipment (copier, fax, calculator, telephone)
  • Ability to organize tasks and produce accurate work
  • Valid driver's license and current automotive insurance
  • First Aid/CPR Training
  • Availability for periodic travel and flexible scheduling
