Overview

The JOB COACH at HOME OF HOPE in Vinita, Oklahoma, is responsible for developing business relationships to create employment opportunities for clients. This role involves facilitating client placement in vocational environments, advocating for clients' needs, and assisting in their social services while ensuring successful job retention.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop business relationships for client employment opportunities
  • Facilitate client placement and retention in vocational environments
  • Counsel clients on obtaining and sustaining social services
  • Match client skills with appropriate job opportunities
  • Assist employers with client training issues
  • Develop and utilize natural supports for client vocational success
  • Complete necessary documentation for billing and service support
  • Interpret and implement DRS and HOH contracts and performance requirements
  • Assist clients in achieving maximum potential and self-determination

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 6 months experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Above average interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Proficiency in office equipment usage (copier, fax, calculator, telephone)
  • Organizational skills and ability to produce accurate work
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Valid driver's license and current automotive insurance
  • Transportation availability for travel
  • First Aid/CPR training
  • Ability to learn and follow the Individual Plan (IP) of clients
  • Criminal background free of encumbrances
