Overview

United Gear & Assembly is seeking a Janitor to join their team in Hudson, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including offices, restrooms, and high-traffic areas, while also performing minor repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and conference rooms
  • Maintain heating and cooling systems in operational condition
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Ensure the janitors' room is neat and stocked with supplies
  • Examine premises for safety hazards and report deficiencies
  • Maintain building grounds and assist with snow removal

Required skills

  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning solutions
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate maintenance tools
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
  • Ability to work from a ladder or manlift
  • Professional and courteous interaction with staff
  • Fork truck operation skills are a plus
  • 2 years of janitorial experience
