Overview

United Rotary Brush is an Olathe, Kansas based manufacturer of specialty industrial brushes for the airport, road construction, street sweeping and plow industries. Our Olathe, KS, manufacturing facility (I-35 & Old 56 Hwy) is looking for IT Support Specialist. Job Summary This position provides onsite technical support to employees across our manufacturing and corporate operations. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, helping people, and learning new technologies. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience with enterprise infrastructure, manufacturing systems, Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity while supporting approximately 150+ users. Primary Responsibilities Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, walk-up requests, and email support requests.Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 workstations.Create and manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365.Configure email, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office applications.Diagnose hardware failures and coordinate warranty repairs when necessary.Deploy new computers using standard imaging and deployment procedures.Install software and maintain software licensing compliance.Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues.Support conference room technology including Teams meeting equipment.Assist with printer setup, barcode scanners, label printers, and manufacturing workstations.Maintain inventory of IT equipment and technology assets.Document solutions and maintain IT knowledge base articles.Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when appropriate.Participate in after-hours maintenance on an occasional basis. Technologies You'll Work With Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Server (basic exposure)TCP/IP Networking, DNS / DHCPMicrosoft Teams, SharePoint, Power BI (basic exposure)Manufacturing ERP systems (Infor Visual experience is a plus)Label printers and barcode scanners Qualifications Required 2+ years of IT Help Desk or Desktop Support experienceStrong customer service and communication skillsExperience troubleshooting Windows operating systemsExperience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)Experience installing computer hardware and peripheralsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds Preferred Associate's degree in Information Technology or related fieldCompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certificationsExperience supporting manufacturing environmentsActive Directory administration, Microsoft Entra IDExperience with virtualizationExperience with ERP systemsExperience with mobile device managementExperience supporting manufacturing users and production equipmentFamiliarity with barcode scanners and industrial printersExperience with ERP systemsBasic SQL knowledgeMicrosoft 365 administration Physical Requirements Frequent walking throughout manufacturing and office areasOccasional lifting of computers, monitors, and printers (up to 40 lbs.)Ability to work at desks, under workstations, and in equipment roomsOccasional after-hours or weekend support for maintenance activities.
