Job Description

Overview

Village Green Landscapes is seeking a full-time Irrigation Service Technician to provide maintenance and repair services for irrigation systems in the Twin City metro area. This role is essential for keeping customer properties beautiful and well-maintained, and the technician will work year-round, including commercial snow removal in the winter months.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform irrigation maintenance and repair tasks
  • Identify water sources, backflow, and meters for irrigation systems
  • Locate isolation valves and wire in irrigation remotes
  • Replace and adjust irrigation heads and valves
  • Repair poly and PVC pipes
  • Program irrigation controllers
  • Ensure customer irrigation systems maximize efficiency and conserve water
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Make high-quality decisions in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in irrigation system maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Low voltage certification (preferred)
