Overview

The IP Speech Pathologist at L.E. Cox Medical Centers evaluates and treats patients in an acute medical setting, focusing on improving communication and swallowing abilities. This role supports patients across all ages, particularly post trauma or surgery, and involves collaboration with specialty teams including pediatric and neonatal care.

Key responsibilities

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences
  • Active Speech Therapy license in Missouri
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • One year of hospital or healthcare-related experience preferred
  • Good clinical expertise and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and human relations skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Interest in professional growth and continuing education
