: IP Litigation Associate Attorney Location: Austin, TXSalary: $225,000 $390,000/yrSchedule: Full-time Hybrid 4 days in office Practice Area: Patent & Trade Secret LitigationJD + Technical Undergraduate Background Preferred Active Bar Admission RequiredCentral Texas Recruiting is seeking an IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join a high-caliber patent litigation practice handling sophisticated and high-profile intellectual property disputes for leading technology, life sciences, and consumer products companies.This role is ideal for an attorney with 1 6 years of direct patent and/or trade secret litigation experience at a top law firm who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility early in their career. Associates will work on complex disputes involving cutting-edge technologies while contributing to case strategy, legal research, briefing, discovery, trial preparation, and related IP proceedings.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle patent and/or trade secret litigation matters involving sophisticated technology and life sciences clientsConduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other litigation materialsSupport complex case strategy and dispute resolutionAssist with claim construction, discovery, and trial preparationWork collaboratively with attorneys across offices on sophisticated IP disputesContribute to ITC proceedings and district court litigation mattersHelp analyze and explain complex technologies in connection with litigation strategySupport client counseling and ongoing case managementTake on meaningful substantive responsibility and client exposure early in the roleQualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience:JD from an accredited law school1 6 years of direct IP litigation experienceExperience with patent and/or trade secret litigation requiredCurrent experience at a top law firm or AmLaw-level platform strongly preferredStrong academic credentials requiredUndergraduate degree in a hard science or engineering discipline strongly preferredRelevant backgrounds may include computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, or other technical disciplinesPhD in a relevant technical field is a major plusStable career trajectory with minimal lateral moves preferredPrior engineering or technical work experience is a plusLife sciences litigation experience is a plusTechnical Skills & Competencies:Direct patent litigation experience, including claim construction, discovery, and trial preparationStrong legal research and analytical writing skillsAbility to understand and explain complex technologiesKnowledge of trade secret and related IP litigation mattersExperience with ITC proceedings is a plusStrong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities Professional Requirements:Active admission to the state bar in which the attorney is practicing requiredAbility to work in a hybrid environment from the Austin officeAction-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of substantive client mattersWorking Conditions:Austin, TX-based hybrid positionFour days per week in the Austin officeWork on high-profile and complex patent disputesEarly substantive responsibility and direct client exposureCollaborative, cross-office litigation environmentTop-of-market compensation structure with bonus opportunitiesStrong professional development and career advancement opportunities
