The optimal candidate possesses some experience within an energy, power, or infrastructure investment banking group but is looking for a more intimate, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment where initiative is valued and high performance is visible.The Difference You Make:As an Analyst in Investment Banking Coverage, you will join a team with a strong track record and play a key role in expanding Santander's energy practice.Support deal execution, including preparing pitch books, client presentations, and transaction materialsPerform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysisManage due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counterpartiesActively participate in client meetings and deal discussionsConduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategyEngage directly with senior bankers and clients, contributing to live transactions and developing strategic insightsWhat You Bring:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.To perform this role successfully, candidates should demonstrate the following:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field - Required1-3 years of Investment banking experience or 1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting/audit, or within the energy or infrastructure sectorStrong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products, with energy experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuationHigh ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to contribute to team building and cultureIt Would Be Nice For You To Have:Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. What Else You Need To Know:The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
