Description: At General Plastics Manufacturing Company, we manufacture rigid and flexible polyurethane foam (LAST-A-FOAM ) and build-to-print composite parts for commercial, military, and aerospace customers - work we've done for over 80 years. We're hiring an Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of incoming materials, with cross-training into stores and quality inspection as you grow into the role. You'll start in Receiving, building mastery over inbound inspection and material intake, then cross-train into Stores and Inventory Control, and eventually Quality inspection. You'll join a small, close-knit team where receiving, stores, and quality work hand-in-hand to keep material flowing accurately onto the production floor.Core ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and process inbound shipments against POs and packing lists; verify CoCs and Material Test Reports using precision instrumentsDocument and quarantine non-conforming material and initiate NCRsIssue materials/kits and process transactions in the ERP system; maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting and location managementMove materials plant-wide (hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, including the mezzanine) and coordinate with Production, QA, and Shipping Requirements: 2+ years of receiving or inventory control experienceAble to read technical documentation (blueprints, POs, CoCs)High school diploma/GED and valid driver's licenseAble to stand up to 8 hrs/day, climb stairs to the mezzanine, and perform fine-detail tasksPreferred: Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)ScheduleMonday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM.
