Job Description

Overview

Duke Health is seeking an Interventional Technologist for the Ambulatory Imaging department in Morrisville, North Carolina. This role involves operating advanced radiographic equipment to perform complex vascular and neuroradiology procedures while providing compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic equipment for vascular and neuroradiology procedures
  • Assist radiologist during angiographic and interventional procedures
  • Position and immobilize patients as necessary
  • Set up sterile trays and maintain sterile technique
  • Monitor patient condition and alert physicians to changes
  • Load and prepare contrast media for injections
  • Schedule patient procedures and manage patient flow
  • Maintain patient records and statistical data
  • Assist with training of new technologists and physicians
  • Participate in research initiatives and development of protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage supply inventory

Required skills

  • ARRT certification in radiography
  • ARRT certification in vascular interventional technology (to be obtained within 18 months of hire)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in interventional technology (minimum of 2-4 years depending on level)
  • Ability to work with complex technology
  • Leadership skills
