Overview

Fisher Investments is seeking an International Investment Counselor to service high-net-worth clients in Canada from their US base. This role emphasizes a client-centric approach without sales pressure, aiming to ensure clients' long-term financial goals are met through proactive engagement and education on investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with Canadian clients
  • Proactively connect with clients on a quarterly basis to review asset allocation
  • Educate clients on portfolio strategy, market events, and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with internal teams including portfolio decision-makers and research teams
  • Gradually build a roster of high-net-worth clients within the first year

Required skills

  • CFA Level 1 or higher
  • Series 65 (can be obtained upon starting)
  • 4+ years of experience in portfolio management and client relationship building
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Consultative approach with emphasis on client focus
