Overview

Summit Recruiting Group is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a permanent position in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The role involves providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient satisfaction and effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for physical diagnosis and therapeutic management
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a panel of patients
  • Conduct patient history and physical examinations
  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to establish diagnoses
  • Develop and implement treatment plans within practice guidelines
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust plans as needed
  • Educate and counsel patients on self-care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team and make referrals as necessary
  • Identify learning needs and facilitate educational programs
  • Precept nursing and medical students

Required skills

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Valid prescriptive authority
  • Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
