Job Description

Overview

Adfinitas Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Intensivist for a full-time position in Springfield, Massachusetts, to join their established Critical Care practice at Mercy Medical Center. This role involves managing critical care patients in a busy ICU with a flexible daytime block schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage critical care patients in the ICU
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise patient care plans daily
  • Conduct and order diagnostic tests, analyze results, and prescribe treatments
  • Refer patients to medical specialists and other professionals as appropriate
  • Collaborate with integrated teams including nursing, pharmacy, and care management
  • Assist in patient education and goal setting
  • Participate in quality metrics and goals as established by the organization
  • Oversee and partner with Advanced Practice Providers
  • Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response evaluations
  • Attend committee and management meetings
  • Manage ventilators, perform intubations, and complete central lines
  • Comply with departmental policies and maintain records and reports

Required skills
