Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician specializing in Heart Failure to join the University of Alabama's Division of Cardiovascular Disease in Birmingham. This role involves managing heart failure treatments, engaging in clinical trials, and participating in both inpatient and outpatient care within a top-ranked hospital for cardiology and heart surgery.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of heart failure, including transplant and VADs
  • Engage in teaching and research opportunities
  • Enroll patients in clinical trials
  • Practice with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  • Handle 20-25 HTICU patients with a team of 4 physicians
  • Perform right/left heart caths and biopsies during outpatient cath lab rotation
  • Experience dual-organ transplantation procedures
