Job Description

Overview

The Internal Locum CRNA role at UNC Health involves providing anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of procedures. This position is temporary and works under the supervision of the Department of Anesthesiology to ensure safe and effective patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients pre-operatively and develop anesthesia plans of care
  • Meet departmental quality metrics for turnover times and QI submissions
  • Attend continuing education and participate in institutional committees
  • Contribute to performance improvement and assist in data collection
  • Maintain anesthesia records and documentation in a legible manner
  • Administer anesthesia and ensure a safe environment for the patient

Required skills

  • Completion of an AANA accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the AANA
  • Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
  • Knowledge of anesthesia standards and practices
  • Experience in patient care and clinical documentation
