Job Description

Overview

The Mechanical Engineer Intern at U.S. Tsubaki will work alongside mechanical engineers and the installation department to develop technical drawings, reports, inspections, and estimates. The role involves both office work and field investigations to ensure quality parts and successful installations.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Assist in developing drawings, reports, and estimates
  • Coordinate on-site activities with the installation department
  • Develop AutoCAD drawings from field measurements
  • Assist with onsite inspections and related reporting

Required skills

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Machine Shop experience is a plus
  • Installation experience is a plus
