Overview

The Interior Installation Technician 4 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Saint Louis is responsible for the safe removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors. This role involves mentoring other technicians, ensuring compliance with quality standards and FAA regulations, and collaborating with various departments to meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication tasks
  • Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with procedures and quality specifications
  • Mentor and train fellow Interior Installation Technicians
  • Oversee projects and assess requirements for assigned tasks
  • Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts demand and track work
  • Follow standard operating procedures for tools and equipment use
  • Prepare and install aircraft interior items according to operational procedures
  • Address safety conditions and assist with aircraft maintenance requirements
  • Work on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 years of installation, fabrication or related experience
  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for interior installation
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft installation and fabrication processes
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to comply with safety and quality control standards
