Job Description

Overview

The Intel Process Integration Engineer (FE) role in Sherwood, Oregon, involves developing and optimizing process flows for new technology nodes within Intel's Foundry MDCE and Logic Technology development organizations. The position requires collaboration across various engineering teams to improve yield, performance, and process control, with a focus on supporting the transition from research and development to high-volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and define integrated front end process flows for new technology nodes
  • Coordinate across lithography, etch, deposition, diffusion, wet clean, CMP, and metrology teams
  • Establish process windows and integration schemes
  • Analyze yield loss and perform root cause analysis using statistical tools
  • Drive corrective actions to improve yield and cycle time
  • Ensure electrical parameters meet design targets and tune process conditions
  • Implement control plans and process monitoring strategies
  • Support ramp from RnD to high-volume manufacturing and document process specifications

Required skills

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engi
  • Experience in semiconductor device fabrication or nanotechnology
  • Electrical characterization of transistors or other semiconductor devices
  • Clean room process development
  • JMP, MATLAB, Python, JSL, TCL, SQL, C/C++
  • Strong understanding of device physics (CMOS, FinFET, GAA)
  • Experience in VLSI device fabrication and testing
  • Knowledge of VLSI fabrication instruments like dry etchers and ALD
  • Understanding of statistical process control and charting methodology
  • Integrated process knowledge and strong data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of automation and defect classification in fab environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
