Overview

Heard & Smith, LLP is seeking an Intake Specialist (Client Service Sales) to join their remote team in San Antonio, Texas. The role focuses on assisting potential clients in navigating the process of applying for Social Security Disability and Social Security Income, while providing excellent customer service and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients seeking SSD/SSI assistance
  • Guide clients through a screening process to determine eligibility for benefits
  • Assist clients in completing initial applications and updates for submission
  • Build initial client relationships and maintain confidence in the firm
  • Handle a professional inbound/outbound call center environment
  • Sign up 4 new cases per day
  • Meet occupancy and adherence goals
  • Maintain a minimum call quality score of 90%
  • Document client interactions, concerns, and complaints in a paperless database
  • Use good judgment for urgent matters that require management attention

Required skills

  • High School Diploma; Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Call center and customer service experience
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to meet performance standards in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with computer technology and the Internet (MS Office, Outlook)
  • Minimum 40 WPM typing speed
  • Multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Reliability and good time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and in a confidential environment
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Fluent Spanish is a plus
  • Remote work setup including specific technology requirements
