Overview

ManhattanLife Insurance and Annuity Company is looking for an Insurance Claims Supervisor for its Voluntary Benefits Division in De Pere, Wisconsin. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of a team of claim examiners to ensure accurate and prompt processing of claims, contributing to an industry-leading customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Organize and improve documentation and training procedures for new employees.
  • Accurately determine complex claim benefits based on medical records and contract language.
  • Ensure timely assignment of claims to appropriate examiners based on various criteria.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to finalize claims.
  • Review and respond to escalated claims inquiries and complaints.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements to claims processes and training procedures.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in insurance or finance.
  • At least 3 years of claims handling experience, including supervisory functions.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, including email and Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain regular attendance.
