Overview

Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a full-time Insurance Billing Specialist to ensure accurate reimbursement for hospital services. The role involves managing claims processing, following up on unpaid claims, and maintaining accounts receivable. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Review patient accounts and verify data for correct billable services and fees
  • Generate Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance claims
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and insurance denials
  • Receive and prepare daily incoming payments for posting
  • Monitor and maintain assigned Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with training of staff and serve as a resource for billing inquiries

Required skills

  • Knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicaid, and insurance procedures
  • Experience in medical billing and collection procedures
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and dependability
