Overview

Hoosier Hills Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Agent/Producer to join their award-winning team. This role focuses on helping members find the right insurance products while building strong relationships within the community. The position involves frequent travel for sales calls to meet potential clients and promote insurance offerings.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet insurance agency guests and assess member needs
  • Provide accurate pricing, quotes, and detailed information on insurance products
  • Make recommendations based on members' specific insurance needs
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and members
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and pricing
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell other Credit Union products
  • Engage in sales calls to build client relationships and expand the client base
  • Complete required compliance training and adhere to regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience in insurance programs
  • Proper licensing with the Indiana Department of Insurance
  • Professional interpersonal skills
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Sales-driven focus with the ability to meet sales goals
